We had a very busy summer at home in Malta NY with family and friends.  Did a lot of work on our home which has officially been designated a historic landmark in the town of Malta.  They put the historic marker up this week and we're very pleased.

Last week Alan and I flew over to the Bahamas for a week's vacation aboard "Island Girl".  The weather was warm and sunny and we were able to get some good sailing in and visit some new harbors.  After a summer of non-stop activities, projects, and commitments,  it was great to be alone, kick back, and enjoy some quality time.

We're going to be here at home until after the holidays.  In early January we have a charter in the Bahamas.  Our plans are to drive to West Palm Beach around the 9th of January, fly over to Marsh Harbor for the charter and then drive to Cape Coral when we get back.  Once we get "Mystic Jitney" opened and provisioned we plan to explore the Florida Keys and work our way up the east coast of Florida.  We have another charter in the Bahamas in February.  After that trip we'll be heading to Stuart Florida to find a good spot to put the hook down for a while.  Alan is starting a new career in the marine surveying business and has enrolled in the Chapman School of Seamanship Marine Surveyor course.  The school is located in Stuart and the course runs for six weeks from the beginning of March through April 13.  Once we're done in Stuart we'll be bringing "Mystic Jitney" further north  to look for a place to leave her for the summer - north Florida or perhaps a bit further up the east coast.

We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and happy new year.
