SYDNEY'S BBQ BENEFIT

Last year on Alan's birthday we hosted our first annual "BBQ BIRTHDAY BENEFIT" for Cystic Fibrosis on the last Sunday in August.  This year we moved the date up to the first Sunday in August, August 5, in the hopes of having better weather.  Since the date now coincides with Sydney's birthday, August 2, we decided to rename the event "SYDNEY'S BBQ BENEFIT".  This year local businesses helped out - Eddy's Beverages in Saratoga donated all the soda and waters, Alex at Memory Lane Cafe in Malta helped with pulled pork and DeLucia's Market & Deli helped with salads.  We had raffle items donated by Double M Western Store, Hannaford Supermarkets, Price Chopper Supermarkets, and Purdy's Discount Wines.  Guests were asked to make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Sydney's honor.  We had roughly 65 people attend and raised over $3300!   Again our goal for next year is to get bigger and better.  Thanks to all.
